DevOps engineer, keeping myself busy doing random shits. I hope to educate people on some technical concepts with “simple” explanations. I often fail, but I am having fun, at least, I think, maybe.

I am hosting my own services for a lot of stuff like bitwarden, gitlab, a lot of nerd stuff. If you want to take a look at all of my infrastructure, I have all of it in a git repos here: caillou/infra.

(⌐⊙_⊙) What is a DevOps ?

I am a DevOps engineer, a really fancy name, like Site Reliability Engineer. Wikipedia’s definition is:

DevOps is the integration and automation of software development and information technology operations. DevOps encompasses necessary tasks of software development and can lead to shortening development time and improving the development life cycle.

In practice it’s just managing servers like a SysAdmin. You create 2 gitlab-ci jobs, 3 terraform files, and 1 ansible playbook 3 000 lines long, just to manually restart the server in case of an issue.

I don’t want any JS on this website. I want to keep it really simple, lightweight, and without ads.

In the future, I hope to have at least ONE (1) visitor per month.

As there are no trackers on this website, Google will NEVER reference any of it lmao.

This website is obviously hosted on kubernetes, using gitlab-ci to deploy it.
